Invention of the Robo Press and sore elbows
Several years ago companies started manufacturing and selling neat and compact handheld hydraulic tools for our industry. These tools were a game changers for the longevity of the Power Lineman and their elbows and shoulders. Although this new technology wasn’t cheap by any means often times $2K for one press, the Electrical companies realized the enormous benefit these tools had for their line hands. Most can testify to the sore elbows and shoulders the old style MD6 presses had on the body at the end of a busy day. How beneficial are these new tools to our wonderful trade?
