2017 Lineman Rodeo season

It’s the beginning of the 2017 Lineman Rodeo season. If you are an apprentice this may be a requirement, if you are a journeyman this may be something you compete in for fun, or just something you look forward to attending as a yearly reunion with old friends. Either way, it is a great opportunity to celebrate the trade we are all so proud of. It is a great way to catch up with old friends, as well as network with others within our industry. Typically there are also booths from vendors displaying some of the latest technologies in our industry.

In Utah we have developed our Rodeo into much more than just a competition, it is truly a family reunion. Here is how ours breaks down:

Friday: Judges meeting, dinner, and catered poker party. Dozen’s of people bring their trailers and spend the weekend on site.

Saturday: Lineman’s Rodeo filled with exciting events, great food vendors, raffles, bounce houses, mechanical bulls, and crane rides for the kids, not to mention dozen’s of vendors educating everyone on the latest and greatest products.

Saturday evening: Formal Award’s Banquet hosted off site. Live Auction fundraiser, dinner, dancing, and cocktails.

The best part of any Lineman’s Rodeo is the camaraderie. The passion and love of the trade is in the air and is contagious. It is truly a day to be proud of our trade, the service we provide, and be surrounded by those with whom we hold in the highest regard. A time to acknowledge and celebrate the lineman and their families who make countless sacrifices year in and year out.

Everyone is welcome to the 24th Annual Utah Lineman’s rodeo. It will be held Saturday, June 10th, 2017. You can go to utahlinemansrodeo.com or find it on Facebook for more details.
